The public address amplifier shall be a J.W. Davis model DA-30A having a 30 watt continuous power rating on 8 ohm, 25V, or 70V speaker line outputs.  With up to 4 low impedance auxiliary inputs, the unit design shall include VOX and contact closure muting capabilities with the option to configure the order of muting priority for microphones 2, 3, and 4.  One low impedance input shall be switchable to telephone level.

The front panel shall include 3 dedicated microphone volume controls, 1 mic/telephone volume control, an Aux/CD volume control and bass and treble controls.  An on-off switch and LED power and level indicator shall also be present.  The rear panel shall include screw terminals for 8 ohm, 25V, and 70V outputs and RCA type booster and tape outputs.  There shall be screw terminal inputs for the microphone, muting, and DC supply inputs.  A switch for selecting microphone or telephone level paging input for the first input shall be present.

The unit shall be compatible with a standard 120V/60Hz or 12V/DC power source.  All microphone inputs shall offer phantom power.  The dimensions of the unit shall be 17" W x 9" D x 3.5 H and weigh no more than 13 lbs.  The DA-30A shall be rack mountable in a standard 19" cabinet using the RAK-30/60A kit available from J.W. Davis & Company.
