TECH TIP #14: Phantom
Powered Microphones
| To
avoid the risk of microphone damage, always turn off an
amplifier that has the phantom power activated before
plugging in a microphone. It also is good practice
to set the amplifier volume controls to zero positions
then increase volume slowly to the desired loudness
levels.
