lines are one of the most likely sources of RF
interference, especially in churches, hotels and country
clubs. "Open" MIC lines may actually
behave like large dipole antennas where long cable runs
exist.
The
simplest solution is to make sure that amplifier MIC
inputs are turned to their lowest position when not in
use. A more certain fix is to terminate the MIC
lines with "dummy" jacks (an A3M or A3F MIC
connector with pins 2 and 3 shorted).
