TECH TIP #9:
Subwoofers

| Connecting
a subwoofer is no problem if your stereo amplifier has a subwoofer
output. However, if your amplifier is a less expensive or
older model, you will have only "A" and "B"
outputs. In this case, connect the subwoofer to the left terminal of
the "B" output which usually carries most of the bass
material. The resulting parallel connection will reduce the
impedance from 8 Ohm to 4 Ohm, but this should work satisfactorily.
